Capsum is the first company in the world to commercialize capsules and particles using microfluidic technology. Unlike other methods, this “object by object” design technology guarantees an almost 100% rate of encapsulation. It makes it possible to produce mono-dispersed spherical objects that are stable, functionalised, and dosed with great precision.

Fluidics allows heterogeneous fluids to be assembled without mixing, producing both simple and multiple emulsions. In addition to protecting the products, several active principles can be inserted into one capsule. The precision and stability of the method results in as few molecules as possible going to waste.

Capsum technology makes it possible to functionalise the surface of an object. It provides desired features such as highlights, giving a particular sensation, or recognising targets.

Microfluidic encapsulation conserves the purity of a product without the need to add chemical substances. As such, tensioactive and antibacterial agents are no longer required . Furthermore, Capsum is developing its use of natural substances such as bio-polymers derived from seaweed and mineral particles.
